The Open Online Supplement found here for Theory of Knowledge holds a lot of potential for students of TOK to become more familiar with core concepts at a more in-depth level. What can be challenging to anticipate is how this will look in practice running alongside (but without replacing) a more traditional classroom course. Below is a proposed schedule that can be followed to facilitate this process. Like a movie with several threads that are developed independently to be drawn together later into the film (think Babel), the online course takes students on a distinct learning journey over the first semester of grade 11 gradually coming into full alignment with the classroom course at the start of semester two. The schedule below shows how this can look in a northern hemisphere international school (August/September start).*
